Jurors in a Windsor murder trial are now deliberating the fate of the accused.
John Wayne Pierre, 49, is charged with second-degree-murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend Lesley Watterworth who was stabbed to death.
During the three week trial which began September 11, 2018, the jury heard the couple had been drinking and doing drugs, crystal meth and crack cocaine, leading up to the fatal attack in their apartment at 925 Curry Ave in November 2016.

The 42-year-old Watterworth suffered 69 wounds including a 15cm deep stab wound to her back.
The judge instructed the jury Friday morning on the rules of law that need to be applied to reach a verdict which must be unanimous and reached without sympathy, prejudice or fear.
A key element in the case is whether Pierre, who was intoxicated, had the required mental state to commit murder.
He confessed on the stand that he attack Watterworth after he confronted her about her infidelity.
The jury has two options; guilty of second-degree murder or guilty of manslaughter.
A not guilty verdict is not an option.
