The Executive Director of the Windsor International Film Festival is looking for someone to take over his job, but not for a few years.
Vincent Georgie says they're expanding on a pilot idea they tried last year with great success. He says they want to get a younger perspective for the festival.
"To bring in four junior programmers that will work with our festival in a larger way and learn how we pick the films and what goes into it — the thinking behind it and make sure films they're interested in and the types of stories they're interested in are represented at the festival," says Georgie.
Ages 13-17 can apply and they must submit a 100 to 250-word review of their favourite movie.
"Really what we're looking for is someone who's passionate about film — someone who's thinking about it a little bit and knows what they like — a certain film and how they feel about it — and someone that's also thinking about what makes sense for an audience and what makes sense for their peers."
Send an email here — give your name and the film review by August 20.
