A Windsor man will be sentenced later in January in connection to a Highway 3 crash where police seized guns and ammunition.
Satvir Singh, 23, had pleaded guilty in November 2018 to three weapons-related offences including possession of a firearm with ammunition readily available.
The charges stem from a head-on crash April 26, 2017 in Tecumseh between Sexton Side Rd. and Walker Rd.
Singh was the driver of a Lexus and was found with a bandolier or 'sash of bullets' around his chest.
Singh pleaded guilty to being in possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Assistant Crown Eric Costaris says Singh possessed a 'frightening quantity of ammunition.'
The crown is seeking a three-year prison term while the defence wants a jail sentence of between 18 months and two-years-less-a-day.
Singh will be sentenced January 23rd.
