Friends of Jackson Park have had enough.
They're planning a march through the Windsor park Saturday July 29 to protest what they describe as routine harassment from a group of young boys as they're taking their dogs for a walk.
Jennie Berkeley says the incidents usually happen near the southwest corner of Jackson Park on weekends.
"Harassment of dogs, general rudeness and disrespect for other park patrons, young boys aggressively kicking soccer balls and throwing sticks towards dogs, blocking park access and park pathways, and chronically littering," she says.
Berkeley told AM800 News the march is about respecting others.
"A show of solidarity displaying our belief in the park, park safety, park etiquette, and by that I mean respect for all park users and also respect for our canine companions," says Berkeley.
She has reported the incidents to police, and says they have been receptive to the issue, but they continue to happen.
"The latest one was just last weekend and the dispatcher was sympathetic, she took my concerns seriously, and she said to me at the time that it's important to report these incidents," she added.
The group and their four-legged friends plan to meet in the park's Tecumseh Rd. parking lot at 6:30pm Saturday with the march at 7pm.
