Today is 'Jobbie Nooner.'
This is the 44th year for the annual event at Gull Island, which attracts thousands of boats filled with party-goers.
The event was started by a bunch of auto workers who called themselves "Jobbies." They would take the last Friday off before the July 4th weekend to party at Gull Island on Lake St. Clair.
Law enforcement from both sides of the border plan to patrol the waterways of Lake St. Clair and the St. Clair River.
Police will also be set up on roadways around the area to look for any impaired drivers.
