Canadian internet providers will be doing their part to help keep people connected and entertained while they practice social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a release, Bell, which owns AM800 News, will be waiving home internet overages for residential customers until the end of April.
The program covers Bell, Bell Aliant, Bell MTS and Virgin Home Internet customers who don't already have an unlimited plan.
Rogers Communications Inc., Telus Corp. and Videotron say they are temporarily removing overage fees on residential internet plans as well.
Videotron says its program will last until March 31. Telus is waiving home Internet charges through the end of April.
An end date for Rogers' program will run until the end of May.
Fees will be waived automatically, so customers won't need to make any changes to their accounts.
