The University of Windsor's Board of Governors has appointed an interim president.
Douglas Kneale, provost and vice-president of academics will assume the position July 1, 2018.
He will take on the role until the board completes its search for a new president to replace Alan Wildeman who concludes his term June 30.
Kneale says he looks forward to serving the campus community and providing continuity and leadership through the transition to the next president.
During the State of the University address in January 2017, Wildeman announced he was leaving the post saying it was the right time.
He had been with the school since July 2008.
