An 'informal settlement' has been reached after a downtown Windsor business owner filed a complaint against Mayor Drew Dilkens.
Back in May, Jon Liedtke filed the complaint with the integrity commissioner alleging the mayor had violated the city's code of conduct by blocking him on Twitter.
Integrity Commissioner Bruce Elman was informed the mayor unblocked Liedtke from his Twitter account and therefore, he viewed it as an 'appropriate informal settlement.'
The file has been closed and he makes no finding in the case.
Liedtke believed the mayor was suppressing people's rights and depriving them from accessing information, but Mayor Dilkens said he only blocked Liedtke after consulting security.
