The 2020 INDYCAR season is set to begin on June 6th at the Texas Motor Speedway.
INDYCAR will be running a condensed schedule with practice, qualifying rounds and the race taking place on the same day due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event won't have fans for safety reasons but it will be broadcast by NBC Sports.
This will be INDYCAR's 24th consecutive year in Fort Worth, Texas.
That was the next race on the series schedule that hadn't been postponed or cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
IndyCar President Jay Frye says IndyCar worked closely with TMS President Eddie Gossage, his track and public health officials on a plan to ``ensure the safety of our event participants.''
There will be strict access guidelines limiting the number of personnel on site, with health screening system administered to all participants and personal protection equipment provided to everyone entering the facility. Social distancing protocols will be in place.
