The Cleveland Indians are launching a new era.
Next season, for the first time in 70 years, the Indians will not have the controversial Chief Wahoo logo on their uniforms.
The club has been phasing out the caricature for years before striking an agreement with Major League Baseball to discontinue using it on uniforms.
The team unveiled a new alternate home jersey on Monday that a red top scripted with "Indians" on the front that the team will occasionally wear for home games in 2019.
The updated navy uniforms will include "Cleveland" across the chest, and there will also be a grey and white uniform set.
The navy block "C" on the team's hats is being replaced with a new navy hat with a red block "C" and red bill.
The 2019 MLB All-Star Game logo will appear on the sleeves of the jersey with Cleveland hosting the Mid-Summer Classic in July.
