A pretty sunset may have been enough to save a man's life in Leamington.
OPP report a 58-year-old Leamington man had fallen through the ice about 30 ft. from shore Tuesday 6:30pm near the 900-block of Point Pelee Dr. — close to Paula's Fish Place and not far off from the entrance to Point Pelee National Park.
The Leamington Fire Department reports two young women were in the right place at the right time and made the call to get first responders on scene around 6:30pm to pull the man to safety after the pair stopped to take a picture of the sunset.
2 of 2. Assisted to shore by first arriving OPP. Transported to hospital. LFD thanks these 2 young ladies for a great job, and for being in the right place at the right time.

The young women heard a man call for help before making the call.
He was able to crawl out of the water, but couldn't walk.
OPP arrived on scene to help get the man to shore at which point he was then sent to hospital.
The man is expected to be okay.
