Fiat-Chrysler seems to have a winner in the new Windsor-built Pacifica.
The General Manager at Provincial Chrysler in Windsor says he hasn't seen this much excitement for a new vehicle in all his years in the business. Udo Kiewitz says the new hybrid Pacifica sells within days of arriving on the lot.
He says although the vehicle is built in Windsor and Windsorites are great at supporting their own, the vehicle also received a lot of attention at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
"Windsor has always been great to support our product, we have always loved everything that has come out of the van plant, but I tell you the attention the Pacifica received at the Detroit Auto Show really has opened consumer's eyes to that vehicle," says Kiewitz.
He says if people want to buy the vehicle, they need to act quick.
"We sold the first two that landed almost next day that they arrived," says Kiewitz. "We have one left on the lot."
The "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" is just under $51,000 — but when government incentives are applied, the price can drop down to just under $39,000 in Ontario.
