A loss for some animal rights group working to take part in a court challenge involving 21 dogs that were seized from an alleged dog fighting ring in Tilbury.
'Animal Justice' and 'Dog Tales' applied for intervenor status in an upcoming court proceeding to address an OSPCA application to euthanize 21 pit bull-type dogs.
But that application has been rejected.
The animals at the centre of the case were seized in October of 2015.
On its Facebook page, 'Dog Tales' says "it is surprised and devastated that its bid for intervenor status has been denied" and adds it will be exploring 'alternative options.'
