The father of a junior hockey player who was paralyzed in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash says his son is making 'good progress.'
19-year-old Ryan Straschnitzki is receiving specialized spinal treatment at the Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia.
Straschnitzki was paralyzed from the chest down in April when a bus carrying the Broncos was in a collision with a semi-trailer on a rural Saskatchewan highway.
Tom Straschnitzki says his son has already had music therapy and there will be time in the pool later this week.
He says the teen has been learning how to be more independent and his balance has improved.
