An investigation is underway following a house explosion in Windsor's Forest Glade neighbourhood.
Around 4 a.m. on March 19, Windsor Fire and Rescue crews responded to a fire call in the 10000 block of Aspen Lane and once on the scene, went into a defensive mode to battle the flames.
Shortly after, officials tweeted they were dealing with a structure explosion and warned anyone living nearby to immediately evacuate their homes if they smelled gas.
The gas company was called to the scene and officials say the Ontario Fire Marshal is sending an investigator.
The Windsor Police Service is also investigating what they call a 'suspicious house explosion.'
There is no word of any injuries or a damage estimate following the explosion.
