Windsor Firefighters are putting out a different kind of fire in Windsor parks.
With temperatures touching 37C or 100F with the humidity, Windsor Fire and Rescue brought in the big guns to help neighbourhood kids cool off.
Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast hit Lanspeary Park Thursday night.
A fire truck is on hand to provide a shower that puts most back yard sprinkler to shame, as well as a mobile library, and Sparky the fire prevention dog.
Fire prevention officer Mike Coste says the fourth stop was welcomed by residents who didn't have use of the park's public pool.

He told AM800 News it gives the department a chance to put a smile on some young faces and educate the public at the same time.
"We barbeque from 5:30pm until 7:30pm, we have a fire truck come out and spray water for the kids and basically get our message out about fire prevention," he says. "Everything we have here has been donated by various business in town."
The goal is to cool off and have fun, but Coste says it's important to use the opportunity as a teaching moment.
"Make sure you have a working smoke alarm with your parents, make sure you have two ways in and out of your house to get out, basically don't touch anything that's hot, don't play with matches, stuff like that," says Coste.
The event is hitting every ward in the city and Coste says he's seen some familiar faces.
"I've had a couple people follow the parks, so they're actually seeing it online and they're coming out for a Free hotdog and their kids can have a nice cool shower, I'd like to do it myself but I can't," jests Coste.
The next Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast will be held at 5:30pmThursday July 27 at Fred Thomas Park on Wyandotte St. E. and Glengarry Ave.
Coste estimates several hundred parents and kids have made it out to each of the first four Fun Blasts this summer.
