An annual campaign to raise money for Hospice of Windsor-Essex has raised surpassed its goal.
The Face-to-Face campaign, which ran from August 15 to September 30, raised $105,000 for the Fairley Family Transportation Program which provides 9,000 rides to patients and their caregivers to go to medical appointments and treatment.
The goal was to raise $90,000.
The Face-to-Face concept is simple, to collect $10 from 10 people.
Hospice Executive Director Carol Derbyshire says the service is free for the patients and caregivers, thanks to this campaign.
"I think when people are going through such a tough time, they don't need to be worrying about spending $30 this week just on rides to get where I need to go," she says.

The program is named after John Fairley's family who says the total is incredible.
"A surprise and again every year, you never stop under estimating the generosity of Windsor-Essex," he says. "I think my parents would be very proud today."
In the past 16 years, the campaign has raised, in total, more than a $1-million.
