Home sales down over 12% in July: WECAR

Another dip in home sales across Windsor-Essex in July.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors is reporting a 12.64 per cent decrease in year-over-year sales.

A total of 470 homes were sold last month compared to 538 in July 2025.

Year-to-date sales are also down over five per cent with 2,812 homes sold throughout 2026 compared to 2,968 homes sold in the first seven months of 2025.

The average price of a home in Windsor-Essex is down just shy of seven per cent at $546,739 in July. The average price of a home in July 2025 was $587,740.

Market activity also saw a nine per cent decrease, with 1,228 new listings in July compared to 1,352 listings in the same month last year.

The association says 59 homes were sold last month in the price range of $360,000 to $419,999, 141 properties were sold in the price range of $420,000 and $549,999, while 118 properties were sold in the price range of $550,000 to $699,999.
