Ken Holland says he loves everything about the Detroit Red Wings organization
Ken Holland says he'll be around until he's not.
The Detroit Red Wings general manager is well aware of the growing desire from some fans to see him replaced by former captain Steve Yzerman.
In comments wrapping up the third straight season Detroit has missed the Stanley Cup playoffs, Holland told reporters he knows what they're asking with questions about his future, saying he "will manage the Detroit Red Wings until I'm not managing the Detroit Red Wings."
Holland says he loves everything about being part of the Red Wings organization, and noted Detroit was a legitimate contender for the Stanley Cup for around 18 years and won four, adding that shows how hard such a feat is.
Yzerman stepped down during training camp as Tampa Bay's general manager after building the Florida team into a contender, and is also rumored to be in the running to become the president of the New York Rangers.
