The City of Windsor has posted the Holiday Hours for various locations, amenities and programs for residents to keep in mind over the next little while.
City of Windsor administrative offices will be closed on Monday, December 25, and Tuesday, December 26, in observance of the Christmas and Boxing Day holidays.
Additionally, the offices will also be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024, for New Year's Day.
The 311 Customer Contact Centre's regular business hours are Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday, but due to the holidays, the contact centre will be closed on December 25, December 26, and January 1, 2024 as well.
There will be no residential collection services on Monday, December 25, or Monday, January 1, 2024. Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day each week during the holiday period.
Night commercial, front end loader and weekly recycling collections are not delayed.
Christmas tree and yard waste collections will take place the week of January 15, 2024, in "A" zones and the week of January 22, 2024, in "B" zones.

The Public Drop-Off and Household Chemical Waste depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and North Service Road East are closed to the public on December 25, December 26, and January 1, 2024 as well.
Throughout the holiday season, Transit Windsor officials remind residents to check the holiday transit schedule online for details on adjusted holiday bus service.
There will be no Tunnel Bus service on December 25 and January 1, 2024.
Community centres will be closed from December 24 to 25, and from December 31 to January 1, 2024.

All arenas close at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Lanspeary reopens for regular rentals on December 26, with all other arenas reopening on December 27.
All arenas will then close again at 2 p.m. on December 31 before reopening on January 2, 2024 for regular rentals.
The WFCU Centre will be open December 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to welcome AM800's Annual New Year's Eve-NING! - a family celebration for New Year's Eve.
WFCU Centre Pool will be open regular hours for pool reservation and previously scheduled rentals only, with the exception of:
- Closing at 2 p.m. on December 24 and 31
- Closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, 2024
The day program at for the Homelessness & Housing Help Hub located at 400 Wyandotte Street East will be open to offer services for people during its regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except for modified hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 25 and January 1, 2024.
From December 27 to January 7, Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be open between 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Municipal ticket payment offices will be closed on December 25, 26, and on January 2, 2023.
Ticket payments may still be made online by visiting the E-Services tab on the City's website.
Windsor Public Library holiday hours are as follows:
- Sunday, December 24, 2023: All locations closed.
- Monday, December 25, 2023: All locations closed.
- Tuesday, December 26, 2023: All locations closed.
- Sunday, December 31, 2023: All locations closed.
- Monday, January 1, 2024: All locations closed.
Bright Lights Windsor will be open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. until January 7, 2024.
And holiday hours for the Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House locations are as follows:
Chimczuk Museum:
- December 24 and 25, 2023: Closed
- December 26 to 31, 2023: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- January 1, 2024: Closed
François Baby House:
- December 24 to 26, 2023: Closed
- December 27 to 31, 2023: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- January 1, 2024: Closed
Regular hours at both locations resume on January 2, 2024.
