CALGARY — An independent appeal board has ruled that five players from Canada’s 2018 world junior team acquitted last year of sexual assault breached the Hockey Canada code of conduct.
Four of the five players will remain suspended, including:
- Cal Foote: suspended until Nov. 10, 2026
- Carter Hart: suspended until Nov. 10, 2027
- Dillon Dubé: suspended until Nov. 10, 2028
- Michael McLeod: suspended until Nov. 10, 2030
Alex Formenton has been reinstated immediately.
“The players had been formally suspended from Hockey Canada-sanctioned programs, pending the completion of the appeal process,” Hockey Canada said in its statement.
