Hit And Run In Belle River Under Investigation

Provincial Police are looking for a car and driver in relation to the incident which injured a teenaged girl.

Lakeshore OPP are looking for a vehicle and driver connected to a hit and run in Belle River.

Last Thursday, January 12th, at about 9 PM a teenaged girl suffered minor injuries when struck by a car as she crossed the street.

It happened in the 300 block of St. Peter Street east of Christine Avenue.

The girl had just gotten out of a friend's car when she was struck.

The driver of the car stopped and the driver confirmed she had struck the girl, then abruptly left.

The female driver of the car is described as being 35-40 years old, with platinum blonde hair and spoke with a high-pitched voice.

The vehicle is believed to be a silver coloured Chrysler 200 or similar car.
