The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued an advisory with the strong winds heading to our region.
Sustained winds out of the west-southwest are expected at 40 to 60km/hour with gusts up to 90k/hour beginning Saturday night.
ERCA says there is a chance of ice being pushed onshore along the western shorelines of Pelee Island and Lake Erie Shoreline west of Point Pelee.
Add to that, more rain on Saturday on ground that is already wet could cause some ponding in low lying areas.
The advisory is in effected until 10am on Tuesday, February 26.
