High marks for Essex County OPP.
The results have been released following the 2017 Community Satisfaction Survey, which is put together every three years.
The survey found Essex County OPP led all detachments in the West Region in categories such as visibility in the community, visibility on the highways, involvement in the community, ability to solve local problems and overall satisfaction.
98.5% of those surveyed reported feeling safe in their community.
97% rated Essex County OPP officers as approachable and friendly while the overall satisfaction level with the policing service provided was 96.9%.
Property crime, drug abuse, nuisance activities and domestic violence were listed as concerns within the communities served by the OPP.
Provincial police provide service to Kingsville, Leamington, Tecumseh, Essex and Lakeshore.
The survey was conducted between January and March.
