The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has closed a local beach.
The health unit says Colchester Beach is closed this weekend due to extremely high levels of E. coli in the water.
WECHU says its weekly beach testing results found bacteria levels above 1,000 at Colchester Beach.
The health unit says swimming is also not recommended at Cedar Island Beach, Holiday Beach and Seacliff Beach.
The three other local beaches remain open.
