The annual Coats for Kids campaign in Windsor-Essex has been saved.
In mid-September, the executive director of the Unemployed Help Centre put out a call for help, stating the program was in jeopardy.
Not only had the group lost warehouse space to store donated winter coats but a number of dry cleaners, who helped to clean the coats in the past, were not taking part this year.
The group says a member of the community has answered the call for help by donating storage space. Cintas also has agreed to clean and dry the coats.
As many as 5,000 coats are expected to be distributed starting November 9th.
