A watershed conditions statement is in effect.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority says rain started overnight Sunday and is expected to continue Monday with 20 to 40mm possible.
ERCA says that could create ponding and areas of standing water.
The authority says the rain could cause smaller watercourses to rise and spill their banks into low-lying areas.
The statement is in effect until noon Monday.
