A walk to remember a beloved Tecumseh councillor takes residents on a tour of the ward he loved.
Councillor Michael Rohrer suffered a fatal heart attack in May of last year.
The Michael Rohrer Heart and Soul walk drew a crowd to Lakewood Park on Riverside Dr. E. and Manning Rd. Saturday.

The walk began at the park and made it's way to the corner of Riverside Dr. E. and Kensington Blvd., which will be renamed Michael Rohrer Blvd. in her brothers honour.
His sister Jennifer Rohrer says it's fitting they kicked off the celebration of Michael's life at a park he put so much into creating.
"Today is all about my brother and his legacy, and honouring him. There's so much love here today," she said.
Jennifer says the corner of Riverside Dr. E. and Kensington Blvd. held a special place in the heart of both Michael and those closest to him.
"He would sit and wait for his kids to get off the bus, he and his wife would sit and contemplate life," she says. "It's his ward, it's his love, so we're walking in his memory, also to raise money the cardiac wellness program in Windsor."
Jennifer says the outpouring of support speaks to how much her brother meant to his community.
"It speaks volumes to my brothers life and to the love that we have," says Jennifer. "You can't measure kindness, and you can't measure people being there and empathy, but you definitely can see, we have it."
All proceeds form the walk go to the Hotel-Dieu Grace Cardiac Wellness an Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program in Windsor.
