Officials with Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare in Windsor are requesting a meeting with the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network.
CEO Janice Kaffer says an email has been sent to LHIN officials asking to meet with their board in either March or April.
Kaffer says she and Hotel-Dieu Grace board chair Mike Horrobin would like to discuss everything that is happening at the hospital on Prince Rd.
She says Hotel-Dieu Grace offers different services compared to the four other hospitals within the LHIN.
"We think that it would be good for the Erie St. Clair LHIN Board of Directors to have a good understanding of how we progressed over the five years we've been on this campus to really develop expertise with those services," says Kaffer. "How we've moved patient care forward, how we managed to do that without a lot of new funding. We've expanded access to our community, to a range of services through partnerships."
She would also like to meet with the LHIN's new board members.
"They've gone through board renewal and so they have some new members on the board that I have not yet met," says Kaffer. "Our board chair and I think that it would be really nice for these board members to get a sense of when they're talking about funding, and they're talking about different qualities initiatives, that they can actually put a face to a name and they know who we are."
Kaffer says she has not heard back from LHIN officials.
