Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare has kicked off its 30th annual Tree of Lights campaign.
People are able to purchase an ornament to place on a tree to remember a loved one.
Hospital Board Chair Shari Cunningham says "the reason I think it lasts is because people get an opportunity to talk about somebody they love and they remember and for our staff a lot of them remember their patients which I thought was so touching."
Proceeds will support the palliative care unit.
The sale of ornaments lasts through the holidays.
