A second and final open house presenting options for streetscaping in Harrow Centre is in the books.
Sean Kelly of Stempski Kelly Associates was on hand at the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre to gather feedback on three proposed themes.
Traditional, progressive, and historical plans have been laid out to revamp the physical characteristics of sidewalks and public areas on King and parts of Queen and McAfee St. in Harrow Centre.
Kelly tells AM800 News designers still have to go over the feedback, but so far the conversations he's had point to a hybrid of all three ideas.
"Pretty much the flavour of the day for many, many rural communities, we also have something called small town chic, which tends to be a little more progressive," he says. "We think Harrow has that capacity and has that interest with cues from the traditional."
The firm also completed the Essex Centre streetscape plan in 2014 — $40,000 has been earmarked for the project.
