Several AM800 personalities took part in the build

Some radio personalities put down the microphones and picked up a hammer to help out Habitat for Humanity.

A home on Janette Ave. in Windsor is being renovated to help out a mother and her twin girls.

AM800's Steve Bell, Mike Kakuk, April Anderson and 93.9 The River's Greg Gynp took part in helping to paint trim and walls, re-doing some grout and washing cabinets.

Habitat office administrator Corrie Yim says it could always use some more volunteers. "It is a little different, part of the challenge is that we are building right now in Leamington, so we are stretching our resources between two different locations so that is a bit of a challenge," says Yim.

The project on Janette Ave. represents the 63rd build for Habitat for Humanity in Windsor-Essex.

"The family will be able to move in in a few weeks," says Yim. "I'm so excited when I look at this project, I can picture them in the house and I am so happy and excited for them and helps you put some extra energy into things."
