Habitat for Humanity is celebrating a major milestone.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Devon Dr. in Windsor, behind Devonshire Mall, has achieved $1-million in gross sales for the first time ever.
The ReStore sells repurposed furniture and constructions items with the proceeds benefitting habitat builds across the area.
Executive Director Fiona Coughlin says it's such an important milestone. "We received enough donated furniture and building supplies, and our customers came and bought it, and that's why we hit this goal. That's going to help us build right across Windsor-Essex."

The cake is available to the entire community but Coughlin says they wanted to make sure those in need got it first. "We gave out 16,000 boxes to The Downtown Mission, the Unemployed Help Centre and the Goodfellows. I know Downtown Mission and the Unemployed Help Centre distribute across all the food banks in town. So we wanted to make sure the food banks had cake first.
Anyone who wants some free cake mix is invited to visit the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
