A guilty plea was entered on all five counts in a Chatham courtroom from a fatal crash last summer on the 401 which claimed the lives of an Amherstburg mom and her son.
52-year-old Manjit Parmar of Brampton, Ontario has pleaded guilty to five charges stemming from the crash including two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

On July 30, 2017, two passengers in a pick-up truck, 42-year-old Lacie Brundritt and her son 14-year-old Kyle Brundritt, died when a westbound tractor trailer collided with five vehicles that were stopped on the highway near Dillon Rd. due to another crash on the 401.
The 39-year-old male driver of the pick-up truck, Michael Brundritt, was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries and 12-year-old Evan Brundritt was sent to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

A fifth person in a separate vehicle, Philip Buffa, also suffered injuries.
Michael and Evan Brundritt were surrounded by family and friends in the Chatham courtroom while the plea was made.
Parmar's lawyer asked there be time for his client to get his affairs in order.
He told the court Wednesday he expects his client will face a lengthy reformatory term and will have a license suspension.
The sentence will be handed down September 18 by Justice Paul Kowalyshn.
