The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is hoping to reach a fundraising milestone with this year's Grow On campaign.
This is the fifth year for the fundraiser which helps to raise funds for men's cancer equipment, research and to raise awareness.
Men are encouraged to grow a moustache or beard and raise funds.
Organizers hope to raise $200,000 this year. If successful, it means the campaign would hit the one-million dollar mark total.
"We are hopefully going to exceed $1-million this year in the total funds we have raised from our Grow On campaign in the month of November alone," says Chair of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation Stephen Roberts.
"It is hard to imagine but there numerous pieces of equipment that don't unfortunately get funded and we provide that," says Roberts. "As well as research, we have a tremendous university here."
It is estimated around 3,700 men are diagnosed with cancer each year in Windsor-Essex.
