The St. Clair Green Giants complete the sweep of the Leprechauns.
The Green Giants finished off the Irish Hills Leprechauns from Adrian, Michigan with a 12-6 win on Saturday night after a 10-3 win on Friday.
Tyler Whitbread got the win for St. Clair while Conor McKenna smacked two doubles, a single and two runs scored.
It was in the 4th inning when the Green Giants bats turned up the heat, hitting for nine runs including two RBI doubles by Adam Tanoue and Jalen Thomas stealing home plate. By the end of the inning, the Green Giants had a commanding 10-3 lead.
St. Clair now takes an 18-13 record into the All-Star break where four Green Giants players will play in the All-Star Game next week.
Shortstop Conor Mckenna, left fielder Jalen Thomas and pitchers Hunter Brown and Tyler Whitbread will be at the game for the Green Giants, set for July 18 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.
The Green Giants return home on July 21 to take on the Muskegon Clippers at 7:05pm.
