St. Patrick's day 2017 is in full swing on Windsor's Westside.
The Dominion House Tavern has been bustling says co-owner Chris Mickle.
He says it's been non-stop from the minute he opened.
"We had people waiting when we opened the doors at 9:30 this morning. They all want to get a good seat for the entertainment. A lot of people came in for breakfast, now we're up and rolling," Mickle says.
Party goer Brian Guthrie says one of the most infamous drinking days of the year, couldn't have been timed more perfectly.
"It's on a Friday. Nobody has to go to work tomorrow. We get over our Saturday hangovers, Look at the crowd, good people, good fun, good music," Says Guthrie.
What has been dubbed the drinking holliday by some, is one of the busier days at the DH, according to regular customer Wayne Pestru.
But he says this year is different.
"Its twice as packed in here, everybody's having a great time," says Pestru.
St. Patrick's day is profitable for any local watering-hole, but Mickle says the day is really about people coming together for a good time.
"It's the whole idea that everybody's Irish for a day, and Windsor really embraces that so it's fun to see."
Mickle says, with St. Patrick's day falling on the weekend this year the party should go well into the night.
