The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will reveal a tentative decision on whether the race will continue on Belle Isle

A date has been set for discussions about the Detroit Grand Prix.

A special meeting will take place next Thursday, where the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will reveal a tentative decision on whether the race will continue on Belle Isle.

Grand Prix officials are asking for the annual race to be allowed for at least three more years and have offered to increase the annual fee paid to the DNR.

Until August 2, the DNR is accepting feedback and comments from the public via e-mail at dnr-grandprixproposal@michigan.gov.
