Golden Knights Outlast Capitals In Game One

Vegas beat Washington 64 in the opening game of the Stanley Cup Final

Tomas Nosek broke a four-all tie midway through the third period and the Golden Knights edged the Capitals 6-4 in Game One of the Stanley Cup Final in Las Vegas.

Ryan Reaves tied the game at four and Nosek added an empty-netter in the closing seconds for Vegas.

Reilly Smith, William Karlsson and Colin Miller also lit the lamp to back 24 saves from Marc-Andre Fleury.

Brett Connolly, Nicklas Backstrom, John Carlson and Tom Wilson tallied for Washington.  Braden Holtby made 28 stops in defeat. 

The Caps will look to even the series in Game Two Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.
