The Vegas Golden Knights are through to the Stanley Cup Final in just the teams first season

The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing for the Stanley Cup in the team's first ever NHL season after a 2-1 win over the Western Conference heavyweight Winnipeg Jets.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves in the win as the former Pittsburgh Penguins netminder continues to build his case for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.

The Golden Knights dispatched the Jets in five games and now await the winner of the Eastern Conference Final which sees the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning play Game 6 on Monday at 8pm.

Alex Tuch and Ryan Reaves had the goals for Vegas while Josh Morrissey had the lone marker for Winnipeg.
