General Motors is recalling almost 700,000 Chevrolet and GM pickup trucks over a steering issue.
The company says the 2014 Chevy Silverado LD and GMC Sierra LD may have a software problem that causes a brief loss of the trucks' electric steering assistance.
Owners of the involved trucks can take the vehicle into a dealer for a free software update to fix the problem.
GM says 80,000 vehicles are in Canada.
