An online fund has been set up to help the family of a three-year-old boy who was struck and killed in a hit and run in Windsor.
According to the website "Generosity.com", the family is looking to raise $1,000 to help pay for funeral expenses.
Kevin Eh Say was struck by a dark green van Monday night at Wyandottte St. W. and Bruce Ave. Police arrested a suspect Tuesday and charged 56-year-old Kenneth Dawson with failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing death and criminal negligience causing death.
According to the post, the family from southeast Asia escaped genocide and arrived here 11 years ago as refugees.
The family are indigenous Karen people and the father is a farm worker in Leamington, working 12 hour days.
Kevin's two sisters were at the scene of the crime and the posting says they will need significant support.
As of 10am, more than $2,500 has been raised.
