Base funding has been secured for the Local Victorian Order of Nurses (V.O.N) Immigrant Health Clinic.
The Erie-St. Clair Local Health Integration Network has announced it will be providing more than $380,000 a year to keep the clinic going.
The clinic began in April 2016 as an interim measure to help newcomers, especially the influx of Syrian refugee families.
Over the past year, the clinic has helped 620 people to access primary care.
The clinic is operated through the satellite site at the Multicultural Council of Windsor-Essex on Janette.
