A boost for the fundraising effort to build the Farrow Riverside Miracle Park in east Windsor.
Advance Business Systems has presented a cheque for $13,000 to help the project.
The money was raised at the company's 27th annual American Thanksgiving Day Football Customer Appreciation event.
Construction began in August on a new accessible baseball diamond and accessible park on Wyandotte St. E.
The goal is to raise over $3-million for the accessible baseball diamond, a new recreational pathway, a fully accessible and inclusive children's playground and a relocated cenotaph to honour the Riverside men and women who served in the world wars.
As a result of the soil issues and some extra improvements to the original plan, the fundraising goal has jumped from $2.5-million to $3-million.
It has also delayed the opening of the park to August 2019, from the original spring opening.
