Some relief for motorists who use Front Rd. in the Town of LaSalle.
A $2.3-million rehabilitation project on the Front Rd. Bridge at Turkey Creek near Reaume Rd. is now finished.
Manager of Engineering, Jonathan Osborne says the work was finalized Tuesday and all four lanes are now open.
Osborne says he's pleased with how the bridge turned out.
"Majority of the bridge is in decent condition but some of the structural elements of the bridge, just starting to wear a little bit so this was just some fixing up some of those areas and giving us some more service life on that bridge," says Osborne.
Construction started earlier this summer and was expected to wrap up in October but factors beyond the town's control pushed the project back a few weeks.
"So it stayed within budget, the whole way along, a couple different things we saw when you start opening it up but everything stayed within budget," says Osborne.
The project was handled by Amico Infrastructures.
The work was paid for by the town, the County of Essex and money from the Federal Gas Tax Fund.
