The City of Windsor is once again offering it spay/neuter voucher program for cats.
The $30,000 program was approved by city council in the 2017 operating budget.
In previous year, $50,000 was set aside for the program. Council decided to take the remaining $20,000 and use it for a rat abatement program.
In an effort to reduce the number of homeless cats and number of cats euthanized in the city, 400 vouchers will be issued worth $75 to sterilize cats.
The vouchers will be available beginning March 22nd at 11am by calling 3-1-1.
Vouchers for owned cats are reserved for low-income families and a declaration of income will be required.
