Provincial police in Tecumseh are investigating two emergency scams.
Police say the scams occurred last month resulting in a total loss of more than $21,000.
According to police, the first incident happened on January 25 at an address on 12th Concession, where someone was claiming to be a law enforcement officer and requested money to assist the victim's family member who was reported to be in jail.
Police say the victim handed over more than $13,000 to the individual.
The second incident took place on January 31 after police received a report of fraud on Wildberry Crescent.
They were contacted by the victim and say the victim engaged in communication with the same individual from the first incident.
The second victim lost about $8,000.
Police say the investigations revealed the same person attended the residences to collect the money.
The suspect was captured on security camera and police are trying to identify the individual.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
