Former U-S special counsel Robert Mueller has bluntly dismissed Donald Trump's claims that the Russia probe totally exonerated him.
Mueller told a Congressional committee that he explicitly did not clear the president of obstructing his investigation.
He also rejected Trump's claims that the probe was a witch hunt and a hoax.
Mueller's terse answers have produced few, if any, new revelations to move Americans who may be hardened in their opinions about the success of Trump's presidency and whether he should be impeached.
House Republicans say Mueller's testimony uncovered no meaningful new information and that it's time to move on.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says a "cone of silence" from the White House that's not providing documents nad witness testimony "will not prevent us from going forward." Pelosi adds, "In fact, it's even more grounds to go forward."
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler says his panel will file lawsuits this week to obtain more information about special counsel Robert Mueller's report and to enforce a subpoena against former White House counsel Donald McGahn.
