Barries Aaron Luchuk scored his 42nd goal of the season 245 into overtime for a 54 Colts win

Former Spitfire Aaron Luchuk helped the Barrie Colts down Windsor 5-4 in overtime at the WFCU Centre Thursday.

Luke Kutkevicius opened the scoring for the Spitfires just at the 2:00 mark of the first period, but back-to-back goals from Barrie's Dmitry Sokolov and Lucas Chiodo made it 2-1 before Jake Smith evened things up in the last minute of the frame.

William Sirman pulled Windsor ahead 3-2 mid-way throughout the second. That lead would be short-lived as Sokolov netted his second of the game to tie things up at 3-3.

The back and forth battle continued in the third as Barrie's Jason Willms scored on the power play to make it 4-3, but  Windsor's Mathew MacDougall would send the game into overtime with his 14th of the season.

Luchuk scored his 42nd goal of the season 2:45 into overtime for a 5-4 Colt's win.

Michael DiPietro stopped 30 of the 35 shots he faced in the loss.

The Flint Falcons visit the WFCU Centre Sunday, puck drops at 2:05pm. Tune into AM800 for all the action.
