Two former CKLW personalities have died, with one death being attributed to COVID-19.
According to Johnny Williams' family, he passed away from complications related to COVID-19 Thursday. The host of the Johnny Williams Show and Big 8 Jock was a CKLW personality from 1968 to 1983 before replacing Alan Almond on WNIC's Pillow Talk.
He was also one of the first DJs to move to Sirius Satellite Radio in the '90s.

Robin Seymour hosted television and radio shows in Detroit and Windsor. He is best known for hosting the teen dance party show Swingin' Time that aired on CKLW-TV in the '60s.
He also hosted a radio show on AM800's The Big 8, which was the sister station of CKLW-TV at that time.
Seymour was named Disc Jockey of the Year by Billboard magazine in 1953 and by Hit Parade in 1954.
He frequently returned to the area to attend radio and TV reunions, most recently in September of 2019 and published a book called The DJ That Launched 1,000 Hits: The Story of Robin Seymour the same year.
Seymour died in San Antonio, Tx. Friday — the cause of death hasn't been released.
He was 94 years old.
